THE OVERTONES EXPERIENCE

Overtones Music Studio is locally-owned and operated right here in Denham Springs, LA. Our goal at Overtones is to foster a love and appreciation for music in our students.  The students at Overtones are encouraged to play, sing, and enjoy the gift of music for life.  We believe that music not only can enrich your life, but also change it completely.
Overtones began on January 2011 with seven students and three teachers. Today we have well over a hundred families coming through our doors each week with fifteen teachers and growing.
INSTRUCTORS
Our wonderful instructors are what set Overtones Music Studio apart from
other studios. You will experience a dynamic, fun, structured system
that will allow you to experience music like never before.

Pamela Davis-Yonge
Director/Instructor Of Overtones Music Studio
Pam's love of music began even before she started school & her greatest wish was for a piano. After taking lessons & gaining experience as assistant pianist in her hometown church from Jr. High until high school graduation, she obtained a music education degree from LSU.

Her teaching experience includes over 25 years of choral conducting & classroom music in East Baton Rouge Parish & Orleans Public Schools, adjunct music education instructor at UNO, Children's Choir Coordinator at First Baptist Church of New Orleans, adult choir & ensemble director at FBCNO.

During her tenure in Orleans schools, Pam served on the music textbook adoption committee & correlated the music curriculum with the regular elementary classroom curriculum. One of Pam's greatest passions is bringing music alive in the classroom, not as a separate entity, but as an integral part in developing the whole child with music permeating all aspects of a child's learning & development.

Pam feels so blessed to have been given a career that began as a passion in early childhood & strives to instill that same love of & passion for music in all students who pass through our doors.
Justin Burdette
Guitar Instructor
Bachelors of Music Performance Southeastern Louisiana University

Justin's love for music comes from his family.

He has developed a love and appreciation for all genres of music.  Some of his random favorites include Periphery, Elvis, Claude DeBussy and Toto!

Justin grew up watching his family of musicians perform in concerts.  His dad inspired his love for the guitar, and he considers his grandfather John Levy Reynolds his musical hero. His grandfather's performance of the Irish folk song Danny Boy at the Grand Ole Opry is a true testament to the musical heritage of his family; his legacy as a professional country singer and comedian left a lasting impression on Justin.
